Parking Ticket (UKPC)

Hi all,
I've read the forum carefully about parking charges issued by private companies. There is plenty to read and I am just not sure if I understand everything correctly. I've got a 'parking charge' from UKPC 28 days ago. The reason stated is "Registered users only". I am not the registered keeper of the car, my husband is. The charge does not state who the driver was. On their website, I can only see pictures of our car. I made an appeal using your temple 'one size fit all " but I did that on day 28, not on 25 or 26. Is this a problem? What will happen next? My husband still did not receive any NTK.

Sorry for the new post but all information made me even more concerned.
Many thanks in advance.

That is fine as long as you did the appeal in the name of the registered keeper, not you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think the parking company are referring to registered as authorised to use the car park and this is distinct from registered keeper. Did you receive a NTD (windscreen ticket)?2

Yes, I did an appeal in the name of the registered keeper. And yes, I did receive a windscreen ticket. I was with my friend who lived next to that parking (high street Sutton) and helping her with shopping bags so the car didn't stay there long and also she said her other friends were parking there and that was fine, that is why I left the car there just for few moments.0

Why did you appeal in someone else's name? If you received a windscreen ticket it was for the driver to appeal in their name or to wait for the NTK and for the keeper to appeal as non-driver.Adka12 said:Yes, I did an appeal in the name of the registered keeper. I see. I didn't know about that. Is there anything I can do right now?0

No it wasn't. Sounds like they followed the right process of the tactic of appealing as keeper on day 25 and hoping to get past or near day 56 without a NTK arriving.Le_Kirk said:

So Have I done the right thing? What should I do know?0

Read the section in the Newbies thread about why this tactic is suggested and works particularly well with UKPC, and why you need to hope that no NTK is posted.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
