So as above , are you following those 2 valuable resources for written advice ? Yes or no ?3 -
Latest development... I returned the questionnaire to the court and claimant. Yesterday I received a letter from VCS saying that Elms Legal had ceased to act on their behalf and they were pursuing the claim in person. They also sent an offer saying they'd accept a reduced charge of £185. If I refuse this, they'll continue the claim for the full amount (£245) and produce the letter to the Court's attention upon the question of costs.0

They will probably struggle, tell them you will see them in court and, when you have won, will ask fir costs under CPR27.14(2)(g)You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -

Make sure you include the new wording about the banned 'damages/costs' add-on, and have read the newly published statutory (Government) parking Code of Practice and understand how it assists defendants even in existing cases.
Adapt the WS examples from 2021, by @jrhys and @Nosy and add in the new stuff about this month's Code of Practice.
I've written a new section on that, as explained here with some very useful reading links for ALL defendants of a PPC claim:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/79021699/#Comment_79021699
That link is on a thread where the OP is working on their defence (a stage which you are past) but you can adapt the wording for including in your WS bundle.
We are keen that all area Judges soon see and can exchange info between them, from a WS that includes all they need to know about the statutory Code of Practice.

Thanks very much. Brilliantly helpful.
I've also received a letter from VCS 'mindful that under the Civil Procedure Rules litigants are expected to try an resolve disputes wherever possible'. Rather magnanimously, they're offering to accept a reduced settlement charge of £192.50. They will bring this letter to the court's attention if (when) I refuse to pay it.1 -

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
