great result - but from the report am I reading that for element 1&2 were found in favour of the claimant, and had the drop off been admitted earlier the whole thing could have gone the other way?

It could very well have done...however, the point of mentioning passengers on the Witness Statement was to show that the driver's intention was only to drop off at the Drop Off 2 area. Unfortunately, the passengers panicked once the driver entered the gateway as they were late for their flight and thought the driver was lost. Since they only had back-packs for luggage they dived out of the car and legged it to departures as the driver was trying to turn round. The driver genuinely stopped to allow the vehicle to pass so the claimant would have needed to persuade the judge otherwise.

No worries, this is what we do - but we are also heavily involved in the bigger picture, not just single cases.

We are here to lead the push to get the new statutory Code of Practice over the line.  Please stick around.

We sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?

Hopefully - amongst all the political disruption - it will be open later this year and at least into January.

If PPCs manage to turn around the decision on banning the gaslighting / claim-funding 'fees' then the DLUHC will be rubber-stamping £200 parking charges and if that happens, they (Government) and the PPCs will wreck high streets and people's lives.  Whoever is responsible, if that happens (and it very nearly did in 2021) must hang their heads in shame.

Just checking you are among those ready to respond to the questions as you have personal experience of how this crap feels?

Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Consultation:

If you are not likely to be a regular reader in the coming weeks/into 2023, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.

This will be your only chance to influence the law.

I have been reading the forum on most days over the last 2 years or more and have found it to be a "good read".
It would be a nice change to continue learning without the stress of using the forum to fight a parking charge.
I and other family members contributed to the initial consultation and involved 4 MP's into making representation to Neil O' Brien so I expect to be contacting them again once the final consultation opens.
My thanks to you and Bargepole for all you are doing.
