Cancelling Sky due to insurance claim

Hi
I am out of contract for my Sky TV and in few months my broadband as well which I had planned to renew on a new deal.
However my house got water damaged and loss Adjuster has moved us into a managed serviced flat for next 3 to 6 months.
I contacted Sky via chat and they offered to drop me to basic package (18 quid a month) but with a new 18 month contract which I find pretty poor since I can't use it.
Anyway I think I prob cancel and rejoin ( as I am currently £74 a month for tv and bb).
When I am back in our house but I have 4 in contract phone with them and would this affect my free minutes?
Contracts all renewed earlier this year.

You don't need the dish or the box. Use your Sky Go while you're in this temporary flat. You obviously have internet access.
