How to get a breakdown of the charges for rental car damage?

I rented a car from Avis and declined the CDW. The windscreen got a stone chip. I was charged over £700 for repair. Searching online suggested it might be possible to repair rather than replace (I accept I'm not an expert) I have contacted Avis to ask for evidence of this repair charge and so far radio silence. All I'm asking for is to see the invoice(s) of what was done. Surely that's fair? Any suggestions on what, if anything I can do to get this information?
