Fast track reclaim question regarding no PPI pay-out

Hi
My mother has received a letter of authority which Fast Track Reclaim want her to sign and send back.
It sounds like they want to contact Santander on her behalf regarding a PPI claim she made over a year ago.
She never had any pay-outs at all from any of her PPI claims ( Santander and a few store cards ) so my question is does she just sign and date the forms, send them back and when Fast Track contact Santander and find out she never received anything the case will be closed?
Just a bit worried that she would be signing up to something else !
Any help/advice would be great.

When you say ‘never received anything’ did she make complaints and they were rejected or were they upheld but the redress was offset against debts she held with the bank(s) (as they’re 2 very different scenarios and it isn’t clear from your post which applies to your mum)?helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Sorry, I meant she has never received any payout from the PPI, no money was received from the bank as she was not entitled to anything.0

So her complaints were all rejected? I’m asking again because it’s a very important distinction.helpful tips

Read the other thread about Fast Track, whatever the circumstances she should not sign that paperwork.0

Also, did she submit her claim directly with Santander, or did she have Fast Track submit it on her behalf?0 -

She had an unsuccessful claim, fast track did everything for her, she has not received any money from anyone.
I have told her not to sign the forms but it says if she don't within 14 days it will be passed onto solicitors so not sure what to do.

It is possible to owe money to the CMC despite not getting a penny if the redress payment goes back to unpaid debt.

Sorry if I'm not 100% clear, I don't have any letters as she threw them away, but states that she had no PPI from any lenders ( store cards and a mortgage ) and she has never ever had any unpaid debt.
She must of filled out a PPI claim form online with the company Fast track claims who have done everything for her, she has not complained.
She received a letter stating that none of her claims were successful ( or that is how she read it, so she binned it and thought nothing more).
Now Fast Track have contacted her nearly a year later and asked her to sign a letter of authority form with regards to Santander.
I have not read any letter apart from this one they have sent and am trying to establish whether or not signing the form is playing into their hands, but surely if she has not had any money from anyone its a no win no fee basis.
Stressful for a 78 year old as you would expect.
Anyways :
I rang fast track and they insist its just to make sure she didn't have any PPI with Santander and as they ( Santander ) wont deal with them ( Fast track ) they need this form signing to gain authority , if no PPI has been claimed/or is to claim then the case will be closed.
She has signed the forms and I will post them for her.
Thanks for the help guys and sorry if I didn't or still haven't explained it 100%, I'm not 100% sure what she has done myself.0
