    At the moment I was right to fix when I did.  I took a gamble.  However, as it now looks like I have to move - due to numerous leaks making my home dangerous to live in - it looks like I have sadly failed (as I won't be able to take me tariff wherever I move to).

    As of today, I have paid £61.88 more than I would have paid on the SVT.  If I move before April, I will be at least this amount worse off.

    For those interested in my tariff, it is Scottish Power Exclusive Fixed December 2022 B1 that was available on the uswitch site in early September this year, marginally above the then SVR rate!
    To which i replied (since you didn't tell us the rates in that thread, and still haven't):
    For my region, that tariff shows gas at 4.124p/kWh with a 16.44p/day SC, and electricity at 18.869p/kWh and 16.44p/day SC.
