It appears that all the comparison sites have shut off their energy comparisons. Does that leave those who have not fixed with a proper supplier at the mercy of rapid increases?
I just managed to in switch last week with my major six supplier to a slightly more expensive deal last week, but the outlook seems bleak now!

Compare the market has stopped doing energy comparisons due to lack of choice0

There is some choice, if expensive - I think their problem is that it's taking a lot of time for them to keep up with tariff changes & there aren't enough tariffs paying them kickbacks at the moment to make it worth their while0

Was I correct to switch last September to a fixed deal, long before some multimillionaire influencer said stay to SVR?I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!0

Glad you're still finding the site he founded so useful though... (Also - I'm pretty sure he's a journalist NOT an "influencer", and I'm also pretty sure that he WAS already saying stay on SVR at that stage last autumn - advice which was still right for a good many people!)

Hindsight is always 20/20.6 -
Saying that, I'm glad I also ignored the advice of "running around with a full tank of fuel will cost you more, only put in what you need", as when I filled up the fuel was at £1.41 and is now at £1.64, so a saving of £13.80.When I'm near empty however I'll just be topping up as and when, hoping the prices will come down before they shoot up again for the summer.0

So to my original question, Was I correct to switch last September?I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!0 -
You can answer your own question here, simply look at the rates you are paying on your fix, and compare with the rates that you would be paying if you were still on the variable rate. I'm pretty sure we both know the answer already though, don't we!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
