CCJ from CPM - help please to set aside

Hi guys. I have received my new court date and it won't be till Nov 2022. Now that is way too long. Would there be a chance for me to ring the court and finf out if I can have an earlier hearing date? As this continues to impact my credit score unfortunately. Thank you.

I would email the court and state you believe a mistake has been made because this should be an urgent listing, being an application.  Should have been listed for the next available date.  It appears to have been treated like a non-urgent small claim hearing.

I would only email them during office hours (M-F, 9am-4pm) as we've seen too many incidences of out-of-hours emails vanishing into a black hole to cause us to advise this caution.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to update you that finally after almost 3 years from when I had the PCN's first issued and 2 postponements of my court hearing I finally had it today.

UK CPM was a no show.

Judge was kind enough and probably noticed my nervousness as I have never been to court before.

Set aside to be granted once I have sent over my defense within the next 14 days. Thank you so much everyone. I would have not done it without all your help in this lovely forum.

So I'm onto the defense statement now isn't it? That's what I think it is called.

My goodness, they made you wait OVER A YEAR with a rogue CCJ, until the court could be bothered to hear your set aside application?

That is appalling of the local court!

At least it is set aside now, as long as you email the local court & the C's solicitor your defence in time.  You know how to do a defence because there is a TEMPLATE DEFENCE sticky thread showing you how (just don't email it to the CCBC of course).

Well done on getting the set-aside. It is just a defence (with a "C") and you can use the template defence as @Coupon-mad suggested

I am writing a draft now. I had a lot of job interviews going on the past few days due to relocation.
