Yes you will use it for POPLA, as long as the bank has provided an email confirming that you made a complete transaction to allow the operator to take the money, but they rejected it for unknown reasons.  You need the bank to explain what happened as far as they can tell and you must have that in writing/email.

POPLA assessors are not legally trained and are not very good in our experience, so a code from the bank tells them nothing.  POPLA need it spelt out by the bank, Janet and John stylee, if this evidence is to help you.

    Location code was wrong then?

I would argue that is a simple keying error, as I seem to recall POPLA found at least once in a case reported in POPLA Decisions.  Have a look at this year's posted outcomes in that Announcement thread (don't read it from the start as it's a thread we started eight years ago!).

Further to the appeal rejection I have now recieved letter stating PCN has been cancelled. I have come across forums where people say have received similar letters but months down the line still get bailiffs turning up. Hope it is for real cancelled. I had not yet appealed to POPLA but did appeal to BPA, maybe it could be from that it was re-reviewed. Thanks all for your help.

    Brittania chickened out.

You have a letter that is fact so keep it.
It would firstly have to go to court, you lost and did not pay and that is where bailiffs come in.

YOU WON .... they folded and that is the end of it.

If they tried a dirty trick then you would sue them.

Yes, keep it, it is a win, despite the poor grammar in the last sentence!

Nice one, you won!  I suspect the complaint to the BPA made them realise that this was a keying error.
