I have managed to get around this by buying a HDMI to digital RF modulator.  Mine cost me about £130 but i now have Sky multiroom for free (as long as I want to watch what is on the main TV).
How do you manage to change channels is the other room? Is it within blue tooth range?

For the downstairs TVs yes, but for the bedrooms it requires a little walk downstairs.

Any reason not to use the Sky Q app to save the walk? Dont have sky Q any more but fairly sure it allowed full control.  We happened to use a Harmony remote (unfortunately Logitec have stopped making them now) and so in theory can control all of out AV equipment from anywhere in the world... though to date only used it once outside the house to turn everything off when the 2 minutes nip outside to put the bins out turned into a trip to the pub etc.

If your wiring up your house there are various matrix distribution systems you can get so multiple sources can be sent to multiple displays.. if its just Sky Q then you could do it with a splitter rather than a matrix.
  • Don't think there's an extra cost for Sky Go.
You'll need a Sky Q Multiscreen subscription to watch live TV when Sky Go
No you don't, I use my iPad to watch live TV via Sky Go and I don't have a Sky Q Multiscreen subscription
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world
