Sky Q box

We have a new Sky Q box but can't now watch a Sky programme in other rooms like we did before. We used to be able to watch whatever was on in the main room which meant I could carry on watching a programme if I went to bed. I can't seem to be able to find out how to do that with the Sky Q box. Does anyone know how I can manage it please?

Mu understanding is that this is not possible without buying additional 'multi-room' boxes. I read a story a while back that said that Sky was not happy with the person that came up with the RF interface for the old Sky boxes and so they deliberately left that feature out of SkyQ - that could be an old wives tale.I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!1

you now have to pay for multiroom extra £13 a month1

Free alternative is to install Sky Go on mobile device.1

You need multiroom sub and then you can watch on your device (iPad, laptop, smart phone etc)2

Don't think there's an extra cost for Sky Go.2

You'll need a Sky Q Multiscreen subscription to watch live TV when Sky GoWaywardDriver said:Don't think there's an extra cost for Sky Go.

No - see Sky Go Installer | Sky.com although obviously can only watch what you've subscribed to.ballyblack said:

But you can’t watch your recordings without multiroom.0

Correct - need Sky Go Extra which is included in the multiscreen subscription otherwise £5/month.Deleted_User said:But you can’t watch your recordings without multiroom.0 -
I have managed to get around this by buying a HDMI to digital RF modulator. Mine cost me about £130 but i now have Sky multiroom for free (as long as I want to watch what is on the main TV).0
