Well there must be 100s of test kits sitting in cupboards unused and now we have a shortage.
My son and i have both tested positive this last week. He had a PCR test and now cannot return to work until he has 2seperte lateral flow tests 24 hours apart which are negative. He cant get any at all. several friends have tried to get him them from a chemist and despite having a collection code they say they have none. I have been trying to order some online for the last 5 days without success.
Meanwhile he has an employer on his back asking when he is returning to work.
Really annoyed today as well as a mate has just has a PCR positive result and yet his 18 year old son who has had no jabs has told his dad that he is NOT isolating or taking a test, says he is not being dictated to and will carry on as normal.
It has made my blood boil, if that was my house I would be telling him that if he goes out he is not getting back in. Why have so many young people so little regard for others.

if you are going to ignore the result then why would you bother? That said I suspect that with the new rules of release from isolation when you have covid if you have negative on day 6 and 7, I wonder if some people aren’t testing and just ending isolation on day 7.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Anyone else had emails thanking them for ordering lateral flow tests when you haven't ordered any? Twice in last fortnight had them. I am just getting over covid but can't see that being a reason.
On another note. I went the full 10 days before I got a negative flow test. Triple jabbed0
