Yes but before CASS came on the scene. They offered £100 to switch in 2010-2012 period.steveksullivan said:Can anyone remember whether Santander have EVER (Apart from the Amazon offer .....) had switching bonuses before.Had my Santander accounts for donkeys years but cant remember if I ever received a switching bonus from them.....Thanks as always for any replies.......1 -
IIRC Both TCB and Quidco offered cashback payments during June and July 2015 for accounts switched into Santander.0

The Amazon offer was a switching offer surely. It was a referral scheme, but only worked for switches, so surely may count as a switching bonus.steveksullivan said:Can anyone remember whether Santander have EVER (Apart from the Amazon offer .....) had switching bonuses before.Had my Santander accounts for donkeys years but cant remember if I ever received a switching bonus from them.....Thanks as always for any replies.......
(there's only one way to find out definitively and that's to try the new offer out)
For anyone confused by this thread, have a look at this thread, which is about the new offer and would have been a better place to have put the OPs question: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6296624/santander-130-switch-offer

We won't find out for sure for months due to the long lead in time before bonuses are paidZanderman said:

Indeed, Santander aren't being nice and quick like Nationwide are at the moment. This one (Santander) could be a complete waste of effort, but that may only be revealed months later. No harm in trying though for those with suitable spare accounts.Ed-1 said:

Please could you explain - is there a relevance to when CASS came on the scene? I received an incentive when switching to Santander in 2010. Does that mean I would get another incentive if I switched to a new Santander account now as it was so long ago and before CASS? Thanks.Ed-1 said:

Even if it was before CASS, some banks offered a switching service and offered incentives. Santander's terms say that if you've ever received an incentive for switching to them (it doesn't state it had to be by CASS) then you aren't eligible for this offer. But if you want to try your luck...jaxxx said:

Seeking advice - have tried to resolve my query both by searching on this forum and by ringing Santander switching team before resorting to asking for guidance, but now even more confused! I successfully opened a Santander current a/c yesterday, in the course of which I indicated a wish to switch.
Entered the required bank details etc but obviously a bit too keen and selected the earliest available date for the switch. Having no current d/d's on the proposed switched account I set up 2 and then realised that neither would be active before the switch date.
Rang the switching team today to try to change the switch date, without success. So in essence, the switch will take place in 7 days, probably not showing any d/d's, new or not.
Its the 60 day period thats confusing me! Am I correct in that any d/d's can be set up within the 60 days after the switch takes effect but from the date of switch request? Santander also talked about being able to set up new d/d or S/O mandates on the new Santander current to comply with the t&c's for the bonus which I really did not grasp!
Im an experienced switcher who shouldnt have to resort to asking for help but on this occasion, I'm foxed!! Any advice/clarification gratefully received.
Thanks

The 2 DDs don't have to be on the account you're switching from. They can be set up directly on your new Santander account within 60 days of you initiating the switch i.e. yesterday.

Thanks Changearoud1 - thanks for that clear and simple explanation! This begs the question, have I been misinterpreting the terms and conditons on previous switches to other banks that required at least 2 dd's to accompany the switched account to comply? Surely not! Or is this peculiar to this Santander offer?0
