Ed, I'd recommend headforpoints.com if you want to get saving travel points now for when the girls are older (it can take quite a while). Your Amex points may be worth more saved as Amex points for now - you can convert them to most (all?) airline rewards schemes.

@themadvix - thanks for that suggestion. I do quite like headforpoints, but it's primarily for the vicarious thrill of seeing how the big spenders live! :Dthink my Nectar points were born Nectar points IYSWIM - there's no mention of AMEX points anywhere in the paperwork or the app.

oooo - thanks for the reminder about one ISA per provider @edinburgher - I knew that somewhere in the dark recesses of my brain, but was tempted to open a shares ISA with my current provider. - Instead, I'll move current fixed term ISA elsewhere and then open a shares ISA with the current!

@rtandon27- I assume the issue only arises when it is more than one cash or more than one S&S ISA with the same provider. I have cash and S&S ISAs with T212 and that has been fine (I really enjoyed the simplicity of it, actually, but their rates for cash were no longer competitive).

@edinburgher - ah - thanks for the clarification - I'll have a look at the rules before I make any moves! - that being said my preferred ISA rate will be expiring and there is no guarantee that the rate will be anything but pants the next time round.

@badmemory - I'm not sure of anything other than Santander doesn't allow it
