My estimates often change on a Sunday. I always stay in if I have ordered something for Sunday as you can’t rely on the tracking. Did it eventually arrive?
    It eventually arrived at 5pm
But to be told that Amazon vans do not have GPS tracking on them - was a shock
How else do they know the location of your order ? Witchcraft ?

Many years ago back in 1876 there was an invention called the telephone by Alexander Bell that allowed people to communicate with each other.

    Some do, some don’t.
If they don’t have live tracking via GPS they’ll be able to use the orders scheduled for delivery before yours to work out the van’s location - all Amazon delivery PDAs are Internet connected anyway.

Right - so they know exactly where orders are from the point that they leave the depot to my front door
No. They know it is on a van & that the van dropped a delivery off at XX. They then do not know the route the driver took. Driver may decide to change their route to make it easier for them. Get some lunch have a comfort break etc.
