Ok, after much searching for lowest prices, we ordered a PS2 with Buzz, the Hollywood quiz. Today we have recieved a PS2 with Monster Rumble, a different (cheaper) game, aimed at kids....
I rang their customer services which costs 10p a minute from landlines, so god knows what it costs from a mobile (we dont have a landline) only to wait in a queue for over 10 minutes, then get cut off... AAARRGGHH!?!?!
My questions are....
can I ask them to refund the costs of calling customer services when I got cut off - and after all I am calling them to alert them of their mistake!!
can I open the PS2 and use it whilst I wait for them to rectify their mistake (the game and console are together in a PS2/Monster rumble box? Or will I have to return the whole thing unopened?
Have a day off today and am really hacked off with this!!

Feel sorry for you that's sooooooooooooo annoying:mad:0

I think if you open it, since it's a bundle, you're legally saying you're accepting it and are happy with it. Best to sort it out now and not use it.
BTW got my packages from Game this morning and everything seems right so far."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Yeah, I wouldn't open it. You often see in returns policies that packaging must be intact.
I don't think they will refund your call though. If you want that, you need to write a letter of complaint and see if they will compensate you. They may send you a gift voucher so they get the money back but at least you get a discount on something which is better than nothing.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -

of course you can ask, whether theyll do anything thats a different thingcan I open the PS2 and use it whilst I wait for them to rectify their
As people have said, once you open it, you are accepting the item.
Off there website:Once the goods have been delivered to you, you will hold them at your own risk and will be liable for their loss or destruction
They havent actually charged you have any extra. all companies(mail order) have a telephone number that you can contact them by, unfortunately, it isnt free. Mind you, you could have contacted them direct through their website that would have been "free"0 -
If I recall, you can return goods purchased online to your local store, which, while not as convenient, may solve your problem. See

for more info.
As you need return the whole bundle effectively, you should be able return it in store.0 -
Surely you can keep this under the unsolicited goods thingy?
They have sent you something that you didn't order. You are under no obligation to return it. They, however, are under an obligation to supply you with what you ordered.
Anyone confirm this?0 -

I think unsolicited is slightly different to ordering an item and the wrong one turning up!
My common sense is confirming this!
So basically, no!0 -

Absolute nonsense.0 -
Ah well, was just a thought. I think it'd be a good idea though!
you may think so but many of the legal profession who count won't. It's about as far from unsolicited as strawberries from tuna - the person ordered a PS2 with a certain game yet received a PS2 with a different one. If you can't see the similarities you may need an eye examination.0
