Difference in price between price comparison and company website?

So I did a price comparison and Sainsbury's came out on top at about £175pm. I then did a quote directly on Sainsbury's website and for sane tariff it said £330pm. Huge difference. Why the huge difference?

This switching is proper stressful!

Did the comparison website have the same price per kWh and standing charge as Sainsbury's own site did?

That's because price comparison sites often have 'exclusive' tariffs, ie not available directly with the supplier.

Even so my guess is wrong details input .
Key is always actual prices not estimated DD or yearly amounts .

And compare unit & standing charges. Check that the figures include VAT as well. Noticed some comparison sites display unit costs without the VAT.

Or the tariff on the comparison website is outdated and no longer available.
