Getting new phoneline installed closer to TV

Having Sky b'band installed tomorrow (+ TV next week, switched from virgin). My phoneline is the opposite side of the house to where the TV is so I'd have to hook up the new Sky TV box to wifi instead of ethernet cable. I'm guessing this will make it slower to use catch up etc? Would the sky b'band engineer install a phoneline close to the TV if I asked? No idea if it's a big job or not!

You don't need a new phone line for that.

You can either:  1) use wi-fi (Sky boxes download to the box before playing, so it doesn't "stream" as such), 2) run network cable along a skirting board/under the floor somewhere, or 3) make use of technology like HomePlug which is as 2) only without the long cable.

It won't, your Sky TV box will work perfectly fine using wifi and if you're that concerned use homeplugs/powerline adapters. The Sky installer will not move or extend your telephone socket.
