UKPC + DCB Legal from 5 years ago.

Hi all,

I read the newbies thread etc looking for a bit of advice.

Had a claim form come through the door today from a PCN from 2016. They're claiming the 'vehicle was parked in breach of the terms on Cs sign' and are asking for £188+ £35 court fees + £50 legal costs.

This car park no longer exists, and the land is owned by a property redevelopment company. I no longer own the car and I live about 100 miles away, so gathering evidence is a bit tricky. I've already put through an SAR request and I'm in the process of writing a defence.

As this was so long ago, I'm struggling to write a defence. I recall nothing about the situation. How exactly do I write a defence when I don't know what I'm defending?

Do I wait the full 14 days before responding to the AoS, then the full 33 days before submitting the defence?

Try the goback feature in GSV for pictures , it existed at the time so subsequent changes including not owning the vehicle are irrelevant , it existed at the time and the vehicle was in your name at the time too

£188 is fake.  DCBL has added a fake amount.
Interesting that recently we have read thar DCBL wrongly think they can add debt collection fees to which they claim the BPA authorises them to do so.   That is actually rubbish

They refer to the BPA code of practice which in 2018 suggested PPC' could add the fake debt recovery charges.

BUT, your ticket is 2016.  If UKPC can provide pictures of the signs, there will be nothing to be seen about extra charges above the ticket price.
The signs must the same as displayed on the site at the time

No doubt the claim was signed by Yasmin Mia as a statemet of truth ?
