I've just got an email from fast track reclaim stating that if i don't pay them for their service to reclaim ppi they are going to start county court proceedings against me, even though I haven't signed anything for them to claim ppi for me (oringally i only asked them to look into it for me) can anyone advise me on what to do about this many thanks.

Ask them for a copy of the signed contract.0

Let me guess, you were browsing social media, and came across an add to re-claim PPI, you clicked on it, and submitted your details, bang, now they want money off you, any of this sounding familiar at all ?
For some, less than trustworthy companies, this is all they need to scam you, they may check to see if you have a claim or not, but then regardless of this, they will ask you for payment of their fee`s.
Its "clickbait" even if you ask for evidence of a contract, they will simply forge one, and send it to you, complaints of this nature are been seen on these forums more and more frequently, they take you to court with spurious evidence, you fail to respond, they gain judgement by default.
Of course there are the slightly more genuine ambulance chasers out there, that actually do reclaim some money for you, so the question really is, have you received a PPI pay-out from them, or not ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi, I have just received an email from fast track reclaim asking to be paid. I'm guilty of clicking and filling in some details back in 2019 I received many letters asking me for more details to process my claim and to sign but I never did after reading their fees etc so I ignored them. Out of nowhere march 2020 came an offer from Santander and I dealt with my bank direct, a year and a half later I receive an email. What would be the best way forward? I've also moved so they have an old address do I have to tell them or can I ask for all correspondence to be by email? Thank you0

First port of call would be to ask them for a copy of the contract they have with your squiggle on.
secondly, when in 2019 did you provide your details to fast track? If it was June onwards, most lenders were auto-converting ‘Yes PPI’ info requests into complaints and processing them that way. Santander should’ve/would’ve sent you a document telling you this and giving you the option to opt out of using the CMC.
it’s worth asking Santander on whose authority they acted - yours or the CMC.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)1 -
I have found my letter/form request of authority unsigned dated 13th of July 2019 and enclosed with the same form they had also asked me to complete a PPI Questionnaire. I also have an unsigned letter of authority to Santander from fast track. Should I send copies of these papers via email to fast track reclaim when I decline paying?. Thank you0

No. You should ask them for a copy of the signed contract.1

I referred to financial ombudsman who agreed I’d signed it!!! I did notElectronic signatures are accepted as valid nowadays as they have an audit log next to them which has personal details and IP address as part of it. The copy of the contract is then emailed back to you when you electronically sign it.They emailed me today months later demanding the money. I know they’ve scammed me I cannot see any way out of paying them now! Anybody got any ideas????Did the bank/financial firm that gave you the redress payment get a complaint directly from you or via the claims company?

Hi, unfortunately I have also been sent a copy of a letter of authority which I know I never signed as I have a letter of authority unsigned with a covering letter, so definitely been signed electronically. Seems like we have no choice but to pay them.0

I've read email again sent from fast track reclaim, it seems I made an online enquiry on the 4/6/2019 and I also signed using a pad or mouse my letter of authority for Santander. I have a good news coving letter saying I have paid PPI with Santander and requesting a signature for the letter of authority dated 13/6/2019 should I start a complaint or go straight to financial ombudsman? Any advice would be appreciated0
