Alliance Parking

My wife became ill on our arrival at 6.25pm and was sick in the back of our car where she had been seated as soon as we arrived. I had placed our blue badge on the windscreen as we parked but had to spent some time cleaning the back of the car and caring for the wife giving her some water whilst she recovered.
Once she felt well enough I then went and paid for an hours parking at 7.52pm.... however to compound matters, my vehicle which I have owned for the last 12 years had, since the time of purchase, been on a personalised number plate until very recently (as I am about to sell it and have the number on a DVLA retention certificate) and in my lack of concentration after the wife`s illness made a major keying error and purchased the ticket with the personalised number and not the reverted number currently on my car...my stupid fault!!
We then had a short walk around the beach area until my wife said that she would like to leave.. I returned to our vehicle at 7.20pm and immediately then realised what I had done in regards to the keying error and took a photo of my car with the ticket displayed on the windscreen and a photo of the terms/conditions of the parking sign run by Alliance Parking (which did not stipulate a ticket must be purchased immediately on entry) .. We left the car park at 7.23pm (times of entry and arrival on my in car dash cam which are saved as is the purchased ticket.)
I have never received a parking ticket in my life but am now worried in anticipation of receiving a penalty charge notice in the post from this company in due course.. (Is there any maximum time limit this company has to send me a ticket?)
The assumed contract I seemingly entered into by parking in this car park for up to an hour from time of arrival to leaving has been paid for in full but I am wondering in advance how to progress any letter or notice to keeper should one arrive..
Should I give my honest answer being the driver fully explaining the mitigating circumstances and pay any charge penalty despite me not having any intention during my stay at the car park not to honour my payment obligation..
Thanks to anyone for their thoughts on my predicament.....

They cannot and will not issue a penalty notice , or a fine , only a Parking charge notice
They have 6 months to obtain keeper details and then one month to get the PCN to them
If they comply with POFA , 14 days is the time limit to hold a keeper liable , but a driver is always liable
The blue badge has no relevance on private property
What happened is a keying error , plus possibly breaching the grace period , so download and read the IPC CoP

There won’t be any penalty but if they send a parking charge notice (invoice) send your evidence and story of what happened.

Thank you all very much for your prompt replies...it seems I will have to play a "waiting game" and see if (and no doubt when!) a parking charge notice arrives as there is a camera in the car park in question monitoring the entrance.
Having read some articles on the internet it would seem appealing any objection to a PCN from this particular company would be worthless as they always reject them and, as this company is associated to the International Parking Community, it seems my only final appeal process would be to IAS whom it also seems seldom uphold appeals.
And, since the Protection of Freedoms Act in 2012 bringing in the concept of `keeper liability` the keeper it seems can now be held liable for the parking ticket if the driver of the vehicle is not provided or known (by means of county court claims to enforce this) I will be left with a dilemma of trying the appeal process, losing and then still end up having to pay them £100 which seems so unfair in the circumstances or pay any reduced rate offered when a PCN eventually arrives..
I am worried about having a CCJ as I have never been in trouble in my life...
I will update this thread if the NTK arrives.. Thanks again..0 -
There Is no profit in acceptance , hence the rejections
Once a fish is hooked , they won't let go until a forfeit is made , or the fishing warden of a judge says throw it back , or not
The government are changing it from summer 2022 , which won't help you
You wont get a CCJ , if you lose in court , pay the judgment promptly , in full , within a month , so as soon as possible if you lose , to avoid a CCJ . It's not paying in full after a judge says so that results in a CCJ , or being a late payer2 -
You need to read more threads! This is nothing new and nothing to worry about or pay but you should go through the motions of the kangaroo court (IAS).
Informed people don’t fold and pay these, at least not until the Government introduce the new Code of Practice, framework and proper appeals service in 2022.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have looked at the Alliance Parking web site and it seems you cannot e mail them to appeal a parking notice as they say they will not respond to you... !
You must click on their `appeals` link and then you cannot respond unless you click the tick box admitting to being the driver before you are allowed to go to the appeal link.....surely to goodness that is unfair when you wish to appeal a PCN as the keeper of the vehicle!!

Then use post if that is allowed on the PCN , and complain as keeper to their trade body about it , the IPC , online , or in writing , plus maybe coupon mad may contact the IPC too. ?
Their own website mentions writing to them in any dispute , so do so , appeal in writing to AP
Go to the post office counter and get a free certificate of posting , not signed for , not special delivery either , post your appeal and keep the proof safe
From next summer , government regulation will force the industry to follow the new government rules
These companies are not interested in customer service , they are not John Lewis , most are ex clampers3 -

https://www.alliance-parking.co.uk/appeals/These really are disgusting scammers everything is designed to be stacked in their favour, look at these contradictory statements:Q. ‘I was issued a Parking Charge for overstaying the period paid for in a Pay & Display Car Park. I paid for X hours parking, but it took me a while to to unload/load my vehicle. I returned to my vehicle before X hours from the time I made payment for parking had elapsed; will you cancel the Parking Charge?’
A. We will not cancel the Parking Charge in this scenario. Parking is occupancy of land; therefore, naturally, customers must pay for said occupancy in full. As such, the tariff applies from the time of entry until the time of exit; it does not start from the time of purchase.
Q. “I parked in the manner in which the vehicle was observed as there was nowhere else to park (e.g. the car park was full or the car next to me had parked too far to the left/right), will you cancel the charge?”
A. No the charge will not be cancelled in these circumstances, if you are unable to adhere to the terms & conditions of use for any reason it would be prudent to either wait for an appropriate space to become available or seek alternative parking facilities.
