Oh Toonie that sounds painful, and I'm sorry to hear about the job, it seems so unfair that they can just do that.£1 a day 2025: £90.00/365 Xmas fund1

Sorry about the job. Hope you manage to find something soon. Very frustrating regardless.

Thanks to you both. The plan with the knee is orthopaedics and an operation. The anterior cruciate ligament can't heal on it's own so will definitely need an op, and the medial should have healed by itself but hasn't, so will need looking at.Feeling rather glum about work, all I want is something stable that pays the bills, keeps me with a roof over my head and gives me a little spare every now and then to buy a book or a nice plant.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3651

Well, I rather feel like I'm back to the start again. I've had to knock my credit card payment right down to the minimum (still on 0% so that's good) and I'm going to do my best to stretch what we have and supplement it with whatever is on offer. Today we popped to Sainsbury. I always check on the nectar app to see what offers they have and as we do scan and shop they have separate offers for that. I noticed several things I was planning to buy had bonus points offers which was handy. On the scan and shop offers the only one which was useful was 15p off sugar, so 60p instead of 75p. Otherwise noticed the costs are still increasing, £21 of shopping did not get us very far but we've got enough to see through to the end of the weekend.I've got three more days at my current job. Unfortunately my knee is more painful that it has been previously and is giving way more so I've decided that for the next few weeks at least I'm going to have to rest. I'll be chasing up my GP tomorrow as things are feeling rather overwhelming right now.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3651

I've begun a claim to see if I can get PIP. It seems to be a fairly long process with various horror stories attached, but I'll see what happens. I will restart my ESA claim on Friday (they won't let me do it ahead of time), and I've contacted my local council to see if they can offer any help in terms of retraining due to recent disability.Otherwise my leg seems to be getting worse. I've one day left at my current job (tomorrow). Today has been my usual day off and I've felt rubbish. Lots of pain so not managed to do anything around the house. I've spent the day sat either on the sofa or on a dining chair (too long in one position hurts more) with an ice pack on every so often and counting down the clock to take my next dose of painkillers. This evening we were supposed to be having cottage pie. I was going to make the mince during the day in the slow cooker but when I opened it earlier it absolutely stunk and looked pale and grey. It was dated for tomorrow so I'm pretty disappointed. I've got some sausages out of the freezer so DP will do sausage and mash for tea (he would have done the mash for the pie anyway). In other news I fixed a necklace I'd broken as DP got me some of my jewellery making stuff down. It's also made me want to make some more, so that may be something to keep myself busy with, especially if I can sell any of them. I'll get my sketchbook out and start coming up with some ideas.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3651
