Enterprise parking ticket

Hi all.
Bit of a dilemma on a ticket I've just gotten.
I hired a car yesterday until the time of 1800 on 6th Sept. SUNDAY.
Agreed with enterprise pick up at an address in London which I parked right outside for free because it was Sunday.
After 1800 the car was no longer my responsibility and I parked it where I told enterprise I would, also paying the weekend out of hours surcharges.
Today my friend (who's house I parked outside of) has confirmed that enterprise haven't come for the car yet and that it's had a ticket it put on it due to mon-fri rules.
What should I do now, it's their fault as they should have picked it up yesterday as agreed, as soon as 1800 ticked over on sunday it was no longer my responsibility...however I believe I may not have a leg to stand on and I may get hit with the parking charge and then their own admin fee for dealing with it. I don't want that. I'm tempted to ask my friend to send me the parking charge and I can pay for it, avoiding the enterprise admin fee.
Of course this is all quite urgent as I need to make this decision before they come and take the car , what would you do?

I'd started by phoning Enterprise. Tell them what has happened and put the ball into their court.0

So you knew they weren't operating at that time and intentionally left it somewhere that you knew it wasn't allowed to be at the time their operations restart?
With many hire car agreements you are responsible for it until the handback inspection is completed rather than any date/time0
