I haven't posted on here since Friday - been tired after doing lots of work on items for the craft fair on Saturday.
Thought all the school uniform jobs were done - then given 2 dresses to label and shorten plus could I take the waist in - stitched in a strip of elastic - job done.
Had quite a few in the front garden family visits - they can be tiring with my lot.
We are getting quite involved in The Salvation Army now we are worshipping there. We went to a prayer breakfast on Saturday.
Yesterday there was the SA service followed by a lunch.
Today we needed to shop as only bought a few bits for two weeks.
I have been cleaning my ovens - racks have been soaking in the bath overnight.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning all! Sunny and quite warm...bit of a change from the usual...I've been a bit here and a bit there, plus posting became a bit of a chore because although I can waffle away forever, it was saying the same things all the time. I've just come back from five days in Wales, my sister has been so good with helping to sort the house out for sale I decided to go and do her garden because she hasn't time, she's working all day from home then knackered in the night. We also had a get together with my cousin, whose curtains I have promised to shorten, and did some more small jobs in my sisters house, fixed new glass in her greenhouse, changed the broken pulley ends for the good ones and a couple of other things. I brought back a little table to sand and wax as well, to exchange it for the one at the end of the sofa so I have to get on that this week.My oldest friend was also over from Spain so we had a get together and I drove her to the airport yesterday and came back after. She's having a tough time finacially at the moment so I gave her a delayed birthday present only to spend on herself. This week is also usually the holiday week I have with friends, so out and about in pre pandemic times, in these times, it's a couple of meals in pubs and possibly a walk, although I really hate going for a walk...All in all, it was a busy, tiring week, or five days or whatever, plus I only have a tablet there which makes typing a real pain in the behind....Because I have been so here there and everywhere over the last couple of months , I just stopped posting eventually...Well, you've seen me today, who knows about tomorrow?Welcome to the new posters and delurkers!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

            Hello all,
It's a beautiful day here, but unfortunately my DH decided I could help him with one of his jobs this morning
  that has taken until now.
Plans for the rest of the day include slipping into town to take my walking boots to the cobblers, then to stock up on some baking bits in case of shortages
I've got salmon left over from yesterday for dinner so that will be easy, so I may or may not tackle the ironing pile that has been staring accusingly at me for the last week or so as I merrily add items to it

I want to thank all of you for your posts. Don't ever think that your boring day isn't important for posting. It really helps those of us whose days are so stressful to see that calm days are possible. Sometimes I feel that following this Forum is the only thing that has kept me going for the past 19 years - even though I seldom post, I have followed many of the threads from the beginning. I need to know that all things are possible.13

That's so true! I wish you calm days, or even calm hours. Sometimes they seem so out of reach.weenancyinAmerica said:I want to thank all of you for your posts. lovely weather today - very pleasant in my little walled garden, grown tumbling toms for the first time - rather overwhelmed by the number of toms I have, give some away - not totally sure what to do with the rest (OH has had his fill and I don't eat them - oops)9

We had a problem with a load of tomato's, I froze them and then used them in stews and soup etc. Our tomato's are pathetic this year, not sure why. Hey ho!!
