All the other channels on the platform are at the decision of their respective playout operations as to their bitrate of choice. So if it looks like mushyvision, it's not always Sky's fault.
Yes I was referring to Sky's own channels, especially sports and entertainment. Sports in SD is a blurry mess I've seen better free streams online. The prices Sky charge for sports it's laughable how bad it is.
I'm aware other channels make their own choices.{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}0 -

I wish they would just ive everyone a new box and get rid of the SD channels to save space for the horrible sub SD channlels and force them to pay for a decent bitrate (though moving everything to h265 would help even with the same space. Could still offer "sd" anyway as the box is pefectly capable of downscaling.Only BBC SD is SD on sky everything else looks like the old SD (was it in the 60s where the HD upgrade occured?).The 1st BBC One which appears on the planner is SD, but the one a couple of pages down is HD.I keep thinking it's about time they reordered those channels.

Your ITV region on 103 (if its not in HD it'll be the closest equivalent region), Channel 4 HD on Sky is a single nationwide feed (its regionalised on Freeview) and Channel 5 is one national feed too.All the other BBC regions are from channel 950 upwards.0
