@snoozer, Monna often posts on the Garden Fence thread - she's well & still busy 😉
I used to post on here years ago, but have been lurking more recently. Can't guarantee I will be able to post daily, but will try.
I'm about to have a sort out of my cooler weather clothes & put the summer stuff back into a box. I'm back at work tomorrow after 12 days off so even if summer does return I won't see much of it.
I also want to plant some bulbs & a few new plants in the front & back gardens, and tidy up the pots just in case this is the last good weekend!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning, hugs if you need one.
I post most days but do find that sometimes I have only very mundane things to write about.
Yesterday we got the picket fence put up. so the garden is now divided by an arch and a fence, it looks a bit stark right now, but a couple of plants and a climbing something and it will look better. I had though of painting the fence, but have changed my mind, going to leave it to mellow a bit.
Veggies done for supper. I have boobed, forgot to get roasting bags, keeps my oven cleaner, so will have to resort to kitchen foil, I will line the roasting tin and then draw it up over the top of the meat, can undo it for the last 30 minutes. Have half the bread and butter pudding left from last night, so we will finish it off.
You can see DB inspecting his veg, the other side of the arch!!

Morning everyone
Sorry I'm later than normal, I've been getting lunch prepped and meat in to roast and pack ups organised for tomorrow.
DH and DS1 are out in the garden doing some tidying up. DS2 settled and happy.
Warm and sunny start today -
Lunch will be roast pork with the trimmings.
I would hate to see the thread close but agree that it does tend to ease off during the summer and light nights - maybe also people in general have had a wake up call about spending time more with loved ones etc, not so much on screen time now things are opening up and going out is more accessible. Most of what I post is same old same old but most people's lives are like that - going to work coming, home, getting dinner, looking after family (kids) etc etc. Also this thread will come into it's own more and more as I have noticed the sharp increase in food prices - we can continue to share our knowledge and expertise to each other.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Another one here who reads every day but doesn't always post
Tbh my week days are pretty much same old same old especially since covid
I get up wash dress sit at a laptop for too many hours, stop cook dinner
watch a bit of TV or read and bed
Weekends differ and if DH is on nights evenings can differ
Things will probably change more in the next few months as DH takes early retirement
I did start going through some of my drawers of doom and had to chuckle
DH had said we had no batteries earlier in the week and after a trawl through I have found loads
He is still asleep as finished nights this morning but is playing golf with his brother this afternoon
I need to pop out to get some bits for the week and gets some oomph
Going back into town on a train this week first time since March 2020 not too sure how I feel about it
Have a good Sunday all

Good morning all. I used to be a regular poster here until life got very busy and there wasn't much to post about in a chatty fashion.TA and I used to chat a lot during her and her Bob's visits to the Royal Liverpool where my Bob had been a patient.Youngest dd went to shield at her boyfriends Feb last year and hasn't come back yet. She's busy filling his kitchen and other rooms with baby spider plants and other plants she propigated herself and other nice touches. Meanwhile the wfh techie just looks on in bemusement. We've had a similar problem over on the garden fence with ups and downs in posts. My life is a lot quieter than usual. Sometimes I'm like Shirley Valentine talking to the walls. However I'm grateful to still be around in these strange times and see the familiar faces. I'll make an effort to pop in but wont be very exciting posts I'm afraid unless my little Coop manage to get hold of my favourite Red Leicestershire Cheese!Snoozer When last seen monna was busy doing her usual multi tasking over on the Fence. Helping her old friend sort his flat out, heading out to try and find a replacement for her beloved old scales as she was volunteered to bake for one of the local fairs and pondering how to make a small bunch of Sunflowers into a harvest festival display. Probably a bit late now monna but try foraging for things to fill out the display . Foliage, flowers , Fruit or Veg or even a fewpresentable weeds.Nan is her usual busy self but did post recently.Take care all and enjoy your holiday maddie.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Just delurking to say that I would be very sad if this thread vanished, I read it every day despite never posting on here (I do post on other threads). I suppose I haven’t joined in because I don’t feel I have much to say, I am single and while I sew, knit, garden and cook from scratch usually, it’s all rather mundane.I say “usually” because I am currently without a garden, kitchen and most other stuff, having sold my house I’m in an Airbnb waiting to exchange on the one I’m buying. So I’m really not being Old Style at all at the moment, living on takeaway and ‘ping’ meals. I’m not sure I can guarantee to post every day, but if it’s ok to be a bit more sporadic I’ll join in. I feel I ‘know’ you all quite well having been reading along for some time!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.12

I'm also a lurker who reads everyday. I too think that I have nothing interesting to say.
I finished work last year and decided to look after the garden and have taken up walking as a hobby.
Who knew how exciting growing my own veg and flowers could be. Just seeing things growing from seeds I planted makes me smile. I've stringed loads of runners beans today and picked more courgettes and tomatoes 🍎
I would be very sad if this thread ended as I have read it for years and feel I know a lot of the posters. I have actually gone to post many times but haven't because of thinking you would be bored with what I say, but if you will have me I will try to post more often😊x12 -
How great to see so many posting.
Dumpling, I hope Lee can get the help he needs.
Csarina, your garden looks great.13 -
So nice to see you all!
I live quite a boring life really but love to hear what others have been up to.
Certainly a very supportive thread with great friends.9 -
Yay, I knew there was still life kicking about in this thread! I agree, it's so lovely to see so many posters especially on the weekend when it's quieter anyway. Thanks for the well wishes, I don't expect any answers to my problems but it is very useful having a safe place to vent.
Jemima popped round, mainly to borrow the car, but it was lovely to see her and I expect she will stop for a cuppa once she has brought the car back. Still haven't done much today apart from half knit a skirt for my sugar plum fairy I'm making. The kitchen floor is calling but I think I will wait until Steve has taken the dogs out.
