1) You see a limited edition of something that's already got a reputation (e.g. Capri 280 or Sierra Cosworth 500) and can afford to buy one - and keep it in storage for 25 years or more.
2) You buy a really good condition one with no mods at 10 years old when prices are rock-bottom and keep it in storage for 15 years.
Both require an outlay on storage and if you actually want to enjoy driving it in the meantime - then you've got to spend the money keeping it running. Plus an element of luck.
Somebody here a while back was hoping to do that with a Mondeo ST220 IIRCI need to think of something new here...0
