Debt recovery plus letter

Options
Hi. I've received a lovely letter stating 'don't ignore it could cost you more' from debt recovery plus about a parking charge from August '17. I've asked this question about Gladstone's before but unsure about this lot. Do they carry any weight and can I bin the letter? Reason I ask is I'm saving for a house deposit and last thing I want is a CCJ. (I've not heard from Gladstone's in over 2 years now).

Is it just a debt collector letter or a formal letter before claim (30 days to pay or respond for letter of claim)?  Do you have the underlying paperwork for the claim?  You need to find out who the letter is sent on behalf of (likely a parking company) and submit a SAR to the DPO of that PPC to find all your data.  All acronyms are in the NEWBIE sticky, which I suggest you read.

On the back page it says 'final contact', creditor is UK parking control. I've never heard about this one before and have been at my address for 3 years. Says on bottom 'do nothing: action will commence in 30 days'.

    You've done it again.   :)

Back in October 2019 I wrote on an earlier thread of yours...
Because you have started a new thread, instead of continuing on your existing one, we appear to have lost important information...

    You are in Scotland.
Can I again ask you to ask a Board Guide to merge your threads?

P.s. I know your older thread is now closed, but a board guide can open it when merging your threads.

I'm not worried about Gladstone's, they're done and dusted as far as I know. I'm wondering about debt recovery plus, I'm unsure if I should ditch the letter or not.

DRP can be held at the same level of esteem as Gladstones.

    Just another debt collector.

Cool. I wasn't sure if they would take it further or if it's just a well printed piece of paper. As I say, I'd prefer no red flags on my credit score trying to buy a house.

Ps. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with my posts lol

Instead of continuing on old threads, you are starting new ones by clicking on "New Discussion".  If you send a PM using the messages icon at top of the page to @savvy or @soolin, they will merge your threads and open closed ones for you.  Makes it a whole lot easier for us when replying.

You're not going to get one, so please stop this baseless nonsense. It just has absolutely no foundation.
