Help with refund on Ebay after guest check out

Hi. My son bought an inflatable kayak from ebay about 6 weeks ago and only checked out as a guest. There were problems with it straight away and he got the seller to accept the return and he duly sent it back 2 weeks ago. Ebay have now asked him if he has received the refund which he hasn't, but every time he clicks on the link to ask them to step in, its asking for his log in details which as a guest he doesn't have. Is there anything he can do?? I have told him once this is sorted to register properly so help is easier to get.

There used to be a guest access code in the despatch email. Has he tried that? If not, he might have to phone them.

I am struggling trying to find an actual phone number. It doesn't help that hes away at Uni so can't physically help.
