Has your friend had one jab? If so, she could just try to get her second jab as soon as possible.
This - you only need to wait 14 and then you’re fully vaccinated
She’s only had her first jab recently so has to wait the full 8 weeks for the second one ☹️
Providing it's been longer than 3 weeks since her first jab I would try her luck at a walk-in centre for my second. I constantly hear 'bring your vaccines forward' on radio etc.

I think you will find that it is 8 weeks+ between 1st and 2nd dose.
