They might. It's really up to them what questions they ask, and how much weight they put on the answers.pearson27 said:well i have been given a start date so can only assume they are ok with it or they havent checked it yet?
wasnt guilty as such as i moved straight into a new job so both ran in parallel
will they ask me or my previous employer what the issue was?
If it were me, as an employer, I would certainly ask them what the disciplinary issue was, and I would also want to to ask you about it, before deciding whether to move forward with you as an employee.
To be fair, the fact that you have had 3 jobs in three years would also be something I would be looking closely at as job-hopping can indicate all sorts of issues
I think that if you are asked about it, the ideal would be for you to give a straightforward, truthful answer about what happened without getting too defensive or critical of the employer, and under no circumantances lie about it. (not saying you would, just - don't be tempted)
If you come over as reluctant to discuss it, or evasive, then that's likely to do you more harm than good. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
Yeah good points.
I moved jobs due to being made redundant during covid and moving again as I was contacted via LinkedIn regarding a better opportunity0
