Someone commented recently that they never received an auto-reply when sent to the ccbcaq email address using capital letters in the address. When they made it all lowercase they got an auto-reply.

Might simply be coincidence but certainly can't hurt to try all lowercase for the email address.

Have you checked your Junk/Spam email folder?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yep, definetely not in there or the autodelete folder either.
I did use all lowercase in the email, might try all uppercase this afternoon.

I just wish there was an obvious "Complaints" line to get this silly proceedural error sorted so we can actually get on with the case.

Just forward the first email which proves it was in time and add some words to point out the CCBC have missed updating the defence on MCOL and you need that addressed as you have seen reports that the CCBC has a recent problem, missing emailed defences and causing CCJs to defendants.

  • Progress today.  After twice emailing ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk with my defence and not received an auto reply I've just not sent it again to ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk, ccbc@justice.gov.uk and CCBCAQ@justice.gov.uk simultaneously and it has triggered the autoreply of both address at least.

  • Received a reply from HM Courts and Tribunals after a few back and forth emails showing them I had made multiple attempts to submit my defence.

"Please be advised that the above case has been referred to a District Judge or court appointed Legal Advisor for directions on how to proceed. It can take 6 weeks to receive a response at which point you will be notified accordingly."

No sure what else I should do for now.

Good , it seems that you may get the CCJ struck out and the claim reinstated like that other member who you asked recently. They replied to you on their thread earlier this week , I suggest that you read their reply and where they are at

I think it was something like matt111 or similar
  • Received "General form of judgment or order" today that the previous default judgment has been set aside as I have proved my defence was submitted.  The claimant has 7 days to appeal this.

Should I expect to receive the directions questionairre now that the claim is (probably) proceeding again?
