Shops with prams/pushchairs on display?

My daughter and son-in-law are expecting their first child in December and we are struggling to find shops that have prams/pushchairs on display.  Obviously they could buy online, but would really like to find somewhere where they can actually see them and try pushing/folding them etc before buying.

The only store we have found is John Lewis, which has some beautiful prams but only has the most expensive brands (the cheapest one is £750!) 

Obviously there are no Mothercare stores anymore, the only Mamas and Papas store within 2 hours drive has closed, there used to be an independent baby shop but that’s gone online only 🤷🏻‍♀️  Where do people go to see baby equipment before purchasing these days?

Isn't the modern world just great? 

Smyth's Toys also sell prams, couldn't say how much they'd have on display in store though.

Thanks, apparently there’s a Smyth’s on the outskirts of the next town, I’ll give them a ring and ask 🤞🏻

I hadn’t thought about toy stotes, although IIRC ToysRUs used to have baby stuff... another one that’s disappeared!

Have you thought about asking your midwife?
Or maybe put a shout out on any local mums groups (or faceache).

Yes, she’s asked the midwife and other local mums have the same problem

Is there a group for your daughters area on Facebook? Bit of a long shot but could try posting on there.
Would mumsnet be any use?

Am i remembering correctly, you are in South Wales?  This place has several branches Discount Pram Centre | Products and claims to have instore product. The ex display sale items are categorised by location.

She’s in the East Suffolk (coastal) area
