Wife returned from amber country on Friday so today (Sunday) is the day she needs to take her test. But it has to be taken to a post office and they are closed for two days.
Any advice? There is nothing to cover this scenario in the provider's documentation or gov website etc.

You can take it and package it up and return it when the PO opens.0

They could have taken and posted the test yesterday (Saturday) or even Friday if they were back in time.0

Can it be posted at one of the 35,000 Royal Mail priority post boxes which were set up for collection of Covid test kits ? These have collections everyday including Sunday & Bank Holiday .
https://www.royalmail.com/priority-postboxesAlternatively you may need to arrange and pay for a courier to collect .0 -

The companies themselves are often keen to point out that not all pcr tests are the same. They don't want you using a day 2 or 8 test as a fit to fly for example. So they knew very well the meaning of the "Day 2nes" but sold you something that couldn't work as a day 2.0 -

There are two issues here:
1/ Whether or not the testing company provided the service requested. I think they did not as it was not possible to take on day 2 (assuming it arrived on day 2) and the company would have known that. Therefore they need to refund.
2/ When and whether the OP needs to take a test from any supplier. The answer is clearly yes but if I was him or her would seek advice from test and trace.0
