When you reflect back on the select committee and the 4 stooges, this particular thread makes Andrew Pester the CEO of the BPA, look rather foolish.95Rollers said:

When will government wake up that both ATA's have failed and employ ONE independent subscription collector

Could you clarify what you mean by saying that the ANPRs would prove i never passed the sign. How will that help when he has got black and white photo's (not colour by the way) of the times the vehicle entered and left the car park. Thank you95Rollers said:
But I'd challenge it on the grounds that the entrance you passed through only had that sign viewable on it which was obscured by a gate etc. If you'd come in via the other entrance then it would have a bit more clout. The fact is that sign is up in a carpark he is managing thus causing confusion! What active steps have Doug or BPA done to eradicate this conflicting term clearer to users of this site?Darren104 said:
According to POPLA The sign that says a fine will be apply if exceeded is nothing to do with OPC as their logo or BPA Logos are not displayed on it, so they cannot be held responsible for this sign.
His ANPRs would prove you never passed it. Don't focus too much on POPLA. It's funded by BPA members so it's always going to predominantly lean in their favour and proven not independent. The one good thing is a popla appeal costs the PPC a £25 admin fee I think so he's already £30 down so far.0 -
How many entrances to the site? ANPR cameras at all entrances/exits?
Did your vehicle pass this entrance where these signs are displayed?
The photos should be traceable to a specific camera/set of cameras ... they would need to prove that their images came from those cameras at that entrance.

The images below are what the driver would of past when the ANPR photo's of the vehicle would of been taken, The signs are on opposite sides of the road as you drive in. I have been in contact with Cushman and Wakefield, Birmingham, who are the actual management of the site. OPC have a contract with them to manage the parking. I have complained to Cushman and Wakefield about the signage but not sure if it will help. The guy I spoke to today asked me to send him images of the signs that state a Fine would apply, and suggested they may have to be removedJenni_D said:How many entrances to the site? Check the BPA CoP re mandatory entrance signs. Don't they have to have a BPA AOS Roundel and the name of the PPC (not in minuscule small print). There also has to be a warning of ANPR surveillance. Where's that, then? And there has to be GDPR data information at the entrance or you have never consented to being filmed or ANPR capture.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is important to use correct grammar and spelling, especially when sending documents to a court of law. Couple of suggestions for you. I know this is not going to court but it is good practice for when it does.Darren104 said:The images below are what the driver would of past would have passed when the ANPR photo's of the vehicle would of have been taken, The signs are on opposite sides of the road as you drive in. I will have to re-visit the site and check if there is signage of ANPR or GDPR information before these two signs are reached. Thanks for the advice.Coupon-mad said:Check the BPA CoP re mandatory entrance signs. Don't they have to have a BPA AOS Roundel and the name of the PPC (not in minuscule small print). The sign in the first picture above says about ANPR.
No obvious indication as to whom the PPC is, or anything about GDPR.Jenni x3
