out of interest if Bob won the lottery and the prize was £100k (25% tax free) or £2.5k (all taxed) per year index linked which would people go for? say you are 60 year old.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0

I would go for an index-linked £2.5k per year actually.
That is partly why I only gamble on Set For Life rather than Lotto...

And this is a lottery, not your pension. One is winnings either way, your pension is about giving up something for something else.0

or can't trust yourself with a large sum of money

Your words. Considering the "9 essential steps" guide pasted earlier, chances of being able to set up a SSAS in the window between a negative recommendation and a CETV deadline appear dicey to the client prepared in advance to scale the route and completely unfeasible to the average client.Malthusian said:

The second option. I have other funds to deal with the first part. Seems much like an annuity option to me.arty688 said:out of interest if Bob won the lottery and the prize was £100k (25% tax free) or £2.5k (all taxed) per year index linked which would people go for? say you are 60 year old.0 -

Sorry forgot to add the £75k is only taxed when you withdraw. So you could take £2.5k a year index link it earn say 1% on the remainder after of course you’re gone through the several years of the tax free bit.
me personally for starters would spend £15k on solar saving me about £1k per year link to electricity prices. The rest I would invest.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0 -
Do you really think this is comparable to your pension transfer?0

Why not, does Bobs other financial arrangements effect his lottery win decision. Sorted my GMP and no lump some. So what’s so complicated?8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0
