Yes - I'd originally intended to retire in September and start my pension in December.  But when I made some enquiries, there seemed to be a high chance of it going wrong.  I chose instead to go straight from working to retired.

That makes my head spin, and even using the published tables, I still can't get my USS deferred pension to match what the USS deferred pension calculator tells me it should be:
