Faulty computer mouse - Just out of warranty - Is it worth pursuing a replacement?

Update;
I managed to speak to someone over the phone yesterday, and while they weren't senior enough to make the decision, they did pass my request up to someone in management. I heard back from them today with a message that basically said the item was out of warranty, but as an offer of goodwill, they are sending out a similar replacement.
I hadn't made any threats, just laid out my opinion that if the item had stated "will stop working after 13 months" I wouldn't have bought it. I also mentioned how long I had shopped with them for etc.
I'm not mentioning the company name for obvious reasons, but this is a great outcome. I get a replacement but also get to keep my faith in them.
Certainly worth a polite conversation with someone as high up as you can manage with said company.7 -
Polite conversation is always the best approach. And I figure - if you don't ask, you don't get!HarryCrumb said:Update;

Good customer service from companies needs to be reported more than bad customer service.
Knowing they are prepared to go over & above deserves praise 👍Life in the slow lane2 -
don’t understand why you wouldnt mention the company…companies should be named on here, good or bad…as you had a good outcome they should be praised0
