Visitors to Tenerife get a valuable perk many don't know exists

Not widely published is that the Canary Tourist board has provided all visitors a free Covid19 insurance policy (by AXA).
The Government of the Canary Islands, through Promotur Turismo de Canarias, has a travel assistance policy with the company Axa Seguros to cover possible cases of positive tourists in COVID-19. This policy will cover travel assistance with guarantees of medical expenses, health repatriation and extension of stays for quarantine of 15 days related to COVID-19, excluding any circumstance known to the insured prior to the start of the trip. With the subscription of this policy, the Canary Islands reinforce its commitment to the safety and tranquility of its visitors.
