Mobile Bill - Not been charged a penny!

Hi Folks,
It has just come to my attention that my current mobile contract (sim only) by SKY has not taken a penny from my account! The contract was set around march of this year and it has just come to my attention that there has been no funds taken from my account on any month...
Where do I stand with this? I really don't want to get hit with a big bill all at once...after all its technically not my fault this has happened.
Any advice would be appreciated on how I proceed.
Thanks

Phone them up and pay the arrears if you don't want to be hit with a big bill down the line.soapstar88 said:Hi Folks,

As above. Why not just call them and pay what you owe to date? Or are you looking for a way out of paying at all?0

Your online account would surely show the bills as outstanding?0

Ok great wish I never asked! I will just pay a large amount which I never planned for due to their negligence. Thanks for the advice.
I thought this was all about money saving on here and consumer rights...0 -
You never planned to pay your bill?soapstar88 said:Ok great wish I never asked! I will just pay a large amount which I never planned for due to their negligence. Thanks for the advice.

You should have kept an eye on your bank statements to make sure your bills were going out as planned. The money should still be there unless you've spent it on something else, which is down to your poor budgeting, not their "negligence."1 -
Got to love it when a poster gets an answer they don't like. You did plan to pay for it as you were meant to pay each month so it's not unplanned, it's just rolled up. By your logic the money should still be in your account as it hasn't been taken.
You want people to tell you that you don't have to pay them because they haven't taken payment but sadly you have used the service & it is only right you should pay for it.8 -
So what you really wanted to know was: Can I get out of paying?soapstar88 said:Ok great wish I never asked! I will just pay a large amount which I never planned for due to their negligence. Thanks for the advice.

This forum is all about money saving and consumer rights. You have saved money by not paying to date, and you have consumer rights, but they don't give you the right to withhold payment for a service you've used.

Everyone who has posted so far is completely wrong. As they did not bill you then you do not have to pay AT ALL. And even better, just keep quiet and then you will NEVER have to pay!! Woo hooooo! Lucky you!!
(ok... I was just typing what you clearly wanted to hear but you must know is completely wrong. You need to take a little responsibility here for not checking your bill for 5 months to check the correct amount was taken for the new contract.
People ARE trying to help you, as you will now just pay the 5 months you owe rather than ignoring it then having to pay an entire year.)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)2 -
Ok thanks, I do apologise for upsetting you guys2
