Increase broadband speed or strength?

Hi.
Currently with PlusNet and coming up to end of contract, on Unlimited Fibre (getting around 35Mb). In some parts of my house though furthest from the router the internet is not very good i.e my TV buffers quite a bit, although it depends what time of day I watch things.
My question is should I upgrade to a faster broadband (around 55Mb) or could I just solve this problem by buying a plug in adaptor which allows the signal to travel through the electrics? Don't want to waste my money upgrading to a faster broadband / buying a plug in.

The speed of your internet is not proportional to the speed/strength of your wireless.Easiest solution is some plug-in wifi extenders. Or maybe Homeplug/Powerline.2

Ideally use ethernet cable to connect the TV to the modem = best performance and reliability.
Mesh WiFi is often a good alternative.
Homeplug/Powerline is a variable feast (lottery) depending on which ring main circuits they are on.
Personally I use all three of the above.
