I can recall Boris telling us that the vaccinations were the way out of this and to regain our freedoms to travel again.

Despite being double jabbed we are less freely able to travel now that this time last year.  Agree it is a farce.

Switzerland with huge rises since the last review and up well over 100% in last 10 days, and over 200 per 100K now go from Amber to Green.
Turkey falling substantially since last review and below 150 per 100K   Red.

The Green list is not the same as a travel corridor . Travellers from Australia, New Zealand and Singapore also can travel to UK without quarantine , but their borders are shut for visitors.

Canada as a country can choose to do what they please, exactly as other countries like Australia or New Zealand are doing- our own made up traffic light system is nothing at all to do with them.

I feel the press are rather giving people the wrong impression with regards these 'safe' countries , far too much emphasis is being placed on what arbitrary decisions are made about entering the UK and there is rarely anything in the sensational headlines to say that some of these countries might not want us. 

The whole thing is a confusing mess and almost seems designed to keep those who wish to travel uneasy.
