Yes. Defence comes long before evidence is needed.CaH27 said:
AoS has been completed today and SAR sent.
I have already started to gather photographs and evidence.
Is there anything to do in the mean time?
As I said earlier...KeithP said:CaH27 said:Issue date was 16th August.Having filed an AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 20th September 2021 to file your Defence.

Just reading through the thread. They need to be more firm with these PPCs not more lenient with them! They are bully's.Coupon-mad said:You will be submitting your defence before the deadline but don’t need evidence yet, as none goes with the defence.
how did you get on with the consultation today, and registering for the DVLA group action got possible compensation if the case is won?
both threads are on page 1 right now.
What sort of points would I put in an email to my MP? Is there a draft?0 -
Please don’t do the email to the MP before or instead of the time limited consultation:

Good evening all,
Just checked into MCOL and noticed the AoS was received on the 26th, is there something I should do or am I waiting for a reply or questionnaire or something from them?
Thanks.0 -
Yes, it has been said several times now... you need to be writing a Defence.CaH27 said:Just checked into MCOL and noticed the AoS was received on the 26th, is there something I should do or am I waiting for a reply or questionnaire or something from them?

Hi everyone,
I'm following the template given in the newbies section and completed a first draft, altering sections 2 and 3 to suit.
2. It is admitted that the defendant was the registered keeper and driver of the vehicle in question but liability is denied.
3i. On entering the car park the defendant noticed there was no signage. When exiting the vehicle he noticed a sign in the distance mounted onto the public house he was visiting a family member. It was however difficult to read as the sign was unlit on a dark February evening, but did notice in big lettering "customer parking only" this sign did not specify where you had to be a "customer" so the defendant believed it to be for the public house use as this was the property the sign was mounted.
ii. The PCN stated the ticket was received for "parking without valid ticket/permit" there was no option for the defendant to purchase a ticket.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.1 -
My suggestions as above. I assume that you were visiting a family member in the pub, if that is incorrect please feel free to change it but make sure it would make sense to a judge or anyone else reading it. Our suggestion is to use simple numbering as it makes it easier when explaining to a judge.CaH27 said:

Thank you Le_Kirk.
Also, on my letter from the court, they have stated the offence took place on 02/12 which in the British date format would be 2nd December.
Should I make reference to this also? Or do the courts often use American date formats?
Thanks.0 -
Do you mean the letter (N1 claim form) from CCBC, which is not a court but an admin centre. Only they will know; are there other dates showing, like the date of issue, is that in UK or US format?CaH27 said:Thank you Le_Kirk.
