You should be keeping your eye on it and following the numbered steps in the defence template post , be prepared , proactive , not reactive. Keep checking your MCOL claim history , ensure that the defence is logged this week , check for when the DQ N180 is posted by the CCBC to your address , check for email auto receipts , etcCaH27 said:Thank you everybody for your help! It has given me great confidence and determination to fight my case!
The defence has now been sent. I await the next steps.
Not sitting back and awaiting your next steps1 -
I emailed my defence to ccbcaq@justice.gov.uk at 22:20 last night.
Should I have received a receipt of email yet?

I would have emailed it today at 9am , when they are open1 -
Thank you Redx.
I just resent the email and got an auto receipt straight away. It must of been because it was closed over the weekend I didn't receive anything! That was close! Ha.
I've taken your previous comments on board and will keep my eye on events going forward.2 -
Oops! Important to get this stuff right especially in legal submissions.CaH27 said:Thank you Redx.

Good evening,
Just a quick update. I received a directions questionnaire last week from DCB legal.
"Having received the content of your defence, we are writing to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim.
The court will direct both parties to file directions questionnaires in due course. In anticipation we are enclosing a copy."
They've also mentioned "the client may be prepared to settle this case" and attached a number.
Am I right to think I am waiting for an official letter from the court to submit my directions questionnaire? Therefore, this letter needs no response?
There has been no further updates on MCOL since my defence was submitted.
Thank you all.

Good afternoon everyone,
It’s been a while! I hope you are all well.
I have received an email today from the claimant with their witness statement, which they acknowledged the incorrect date and that it was in American format and included the UK format date. We have been given a court date for March.
In my defence I have said I wasn’t there on the specified date which was on the court letters. (US Format)
How do I prefer for my witness statement now they have included UK date format in their witness statement? I have started to begin gathering evidence for the poor/misleading signage. They have added new signs to specify which shop you have to be a customer in to park in a space, but they weren’t there when I parked there and I have proof.
Thank you in advance.1 -
I think see what @Johnersh says but they can't change the case as pleaded to a different date (unless a Judge lets them).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
