I need urgent help!

Hey everyone,

To start this off I am a fool that has gotten sick during my fight back against ukpc ticket. I was following the guideline on how to defend myself against this scam of a company, to the point of registering on mcol and appealing my case. I have missed dates to enter my defence correctly and the judgment has been set that I owe £295 for my parking fine. This was due to me having covid and being extremely unwell (I know it’s not an excuse but it happened). I have received the letter from CCBC that judgment has been ruled and I owe money now. Is there a chance of still fighting this or should I proceed with paying the fee and finding a way of fighting the CCJ. Sorry for potentially wasting time, but if anyone could help or suggest how I should proceed with this it would be of my utmost thankfulness.

You probably should pay it , then apply for a set aside and pay the £255

Or pay it before the 30 days deadline and forget about it

After 30 days notice the CCJ is Registered and in place for 6 years , unless set aside by a judge , so the grace period to pay it in full is extremely important

I’ll just pay it in full then. This whole ukpc claim came around 4 years after the ticket was issued to me. It is what it is and I’ll just have to deal with the fact that I failed to hit the deadlines, illness or not. Thank you.

I'm not sure whether COVID would be sufficient to have the charge set aside. The only way to find out is to pay the £255 fee. If it's refused you lose that on top of the £295 you'll be paying to clear the judgment.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

....... unless you can get help with fees.  Are you unemployed, furloughed, on low income with little savings, or recently made redundant?

I’d rather just pay the £295 than pay double technically. If I pay it straight away there won’t be no ccj coming my way right?

Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to apply for help with fees.

Depends if the time limit on your Court judgment has expired or not , if not , pay the claimant or their solicitors ASAP

The letter came two days ago stating I’ve been ruled to pay the company. In my understanding if I pay within 30 days I won’t receive bad credit score right?

If it gave 30 days notice on the letter , definitely not longer , preferably pay ASAP , to avoid any issues

You have seen the letter , we haven't , so we can only make assumptions ,whereas you seem to want total clarity

You have at most 30 days from the date on the letter.  Or less , foolish to wait
