Terrified of getting it wrong when I go to France on September 8th for 2 weeks

I am absolutely petrified of getting this wrong, but my wife and I are travelling to France on September 8th for 2 weeks.
We've got passports, our motability and disability insurance in place, but what do we need to go to France with?
What do we do about covid testing? We've both had the vaccine a few months ago.
What app is required in France to show we can go out and about?
Any tips welcome as we're both a bit scared of what to do. Normally my husband (Who is disabled) has to do lots of insurance paperwork to go abroad so this is just another nail in the coffin if we don't get this right.

At the moment, if you Google travel to France and look at the government website it will give you the information you need. France is still on the Amber list as far as the UK is concerned but I believe there will be a review shortly so the UK requirements for when you come back could change.
For France you'll need your proof of double vaccination. I downloaded mine from the NHS App. You can set it up now but it expires each 24 hour period so you'd need to refresh it before you go.2 -
I've downloaded the Covid app in France as well, but is there a way of getting my covid proof letter onto that or do you think I should just take my letter around with me at all times?
How do you download your proof on the NHS app?
Thank you for helping0 -
My unvaccinated pal arrived in France Friday by ferry equipped with negative test result within 24hrs of travel, he also filled out a questionnaire but it wasn't collected. No bother at all, perhaps by air it's a bit different but I'm sure there's no reason to be 'absolutely petrified'...Evolution, not revolution2

belt and braces - download the app and have a paper copy of everything to show in case your phone dies or whatever.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. If you're in England or Wales then you'll have the QR code on the app. You can download load it and print it if you want a hard copy. I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the letters. I don't know if the QR code works when it's 'out of date' as the certificate has a date on it that lasts for 24 hours. I've refreshed mine when needed and then it comes up with the current date.0

Ok I've downloaded the French app, the NHS app and got a letter showing proof of vaccination and QR codes of vaccination.
But testing......that's the next problem. I've heard so many bad things all over the place that I'm not sure where to go for a cheap reliable test to go to France, and also what do I do on the way back for testing?0 -
As a fully vaccinated traveller you don't need a test to enter France just a statement (link on government website) that you aren't experiencing Covid symptoms
Entry requirements - France travel advice - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) plus your proof of vaccination which you have.
At the moment you will need a test to return but there's every chance that will change at the next review before you go.1 -
Seems the review yesterday was a bit of a non event. ☹️
You'll need a test to come back as things stand. In France, they seem to have a pharmacy on every corner who should be able to either sell you a test or direct you to a lab.1
