My neighbours third expanding hose (as mentioned above) has now split. It lasted a few months instead of a few weeks.

I've had a few of the expanding ones - now back with an old traditional one. Would be reluctant to buy an expanding one again as they just do not seem to last.0

I must admit, I love my expanding hose! It reaches 60ft to the bottom of the garden and yet is lightweight and small enough to carry in one hand. I have poor grip in my hands and cannot use the hose reel winders so it's been a godsend.
