Panoramic roofs rarely need replacing, because they don't get stone chips in the same way windscreens do.
But they'd still be covered under an insurance policy with adequate glass cover.0 -
If you do need to pay for a new screen or have a large windscreen excess try local independents. Recent screen for mine was £450 through Auto windscreens, £150 at a local independent.

Some are fairly upfront about it in their general policy description but many hide the fact deep in their policies and is easily overlooked. Why do the comparision sites not mention this at all?Because I am fighting a case with my car, which is Hyundai Tucson Ultimate 1 year old car and the car manufacturers are specifically at fault for not using safety laminated glass.See this thread here.Hyundai advertise 5 year warranty with their cars.I am now chasing AA Car Insurance whether if I am covered at all.It is a racket.

I found glass roof claims are not classed as "windscreens" in terms of claims they are covered as body claims, so subject to full excess and loss of NCB
