Not related to the original point of this thread but it may help others looking for PV. After all my research my conclusion is to go for as big a PV system as will fit on your roof and don't just go for the '4kw system' . The issue with the DNO limit being 3.68kw can be overcome by either applying for permission for bigger or restricting your output to the grid. I understand a lot of companies installing PV will push the '4kw system' as its easier for them I personally would steer clear of those companies as they are looking at things from their point of view not the customers.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.5

yes that extra KW should cost way less than the £1 per w. Panels are another way to increase your roofs output but you have to be careful about the size of them as they can be very different. Again companies should give you a choice and explain the pros and cons.An extra few quid on better panels can give you a better return over their lifespan.8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.0
